Wrestling Heritage

The winner was Steve Mitchell, known to many as Wryton,  who nominated  Norman Morrell:

“Without Morrell there would have been no Joint Promotions.  Without Joint Promotions there would have certainly been no glory years of professional wrestling.  Beresford, Relwyskow, Dale and Wright were all  members, but Norman was the man in control.”

Congratulations Steve!

Powerful logic from Steve, and a logic we at Wrestling Heritage had agreed prior to setting the competition, so we are delighted to be able to award the prize to him.

Whilst wholeheartedly agreeing about the greatness of Robinson and Nagasaki, we felt that Norman Morrell’s influence over rules, promoting and training has been the longest lasting and most widely felt.

Determining a prize that would add something new to Steve's vast memorabilia collection wasn't easy, but we believe we've managed it. Steve’s prize, three copies of The Wrestler (October, November, December 1961), in electronic format, will go in to the post in the next few days.

It was a bit of fun which we hope you all enjoyed and we will certainly be arranging more reader participation initiatives over the coming months.
