Great preparation was required to be there on the night with an article ready for signing by its subject.

It has to be admitted that most wrestlers failed to appreciate this dedication, but the results remain here to be seen years later.

A few wrestlers signed in capitals, or capwisals:

Every Bobby Barnes autograph brought satisfaction.  One of the easier ones to acquire thanks to the gentleman's accessibility, but every one delivered with a flourish that equated to his ring presence:

 

On the other hand, it was easier to get an autograph than a smile from some:

The self-made publicity machine that was Goldbelt Maxine devalued his autograph, but here was a dedicated pro having a real go at making an impact.  This is almost a rare example given that it's not on his own handouts:

 

What odd handwriting from Johnny Kincaid!  But every signature was the same:

And Leon managed to make a name that was synonymous with wrestling through the sixties, without actally becoming famous as a wrestler himself.  Weird.
