Many wrestlers sought television and promotional work outside the ruing and used these Publicity Portraits. They were also a handy way of not having to stop and sign.
Many hundreds must still be in existence so we invite you to email yours to theriotsquad@hotmail.com and we will include it/them here accredited to you as you instruct.
The first one is was a prize possession for a long while as Steve Logan seemed impossible to pin down. Later he signed various other photos you'll see on the Wrestling Heritage site, but still none as legibly as this:
Old foe Les Kellett had plenty of versions, this is one of many:
One of Kellett's foes was Pretty Boy Stuart:
who was from Kent, just like
who bore a remarkable similarity to one with a very faint signature
and who was a British Champion from the North like the World Champions
and a fellow Mancunian from a later era
but unlike a world champion in another sphere
