Another round of autographs collected Just In Case - Just As Well!
You'll have to work out for yourselves who the signing sub was here, and notice a fairly rare Peter Kelly.

The ref trotted off to Eastbourne the following evening during the Winter of Discontent and black outs, where Buster Martin enlivened the bill as ever:

The following was another of those south coast evenings of heightened excitement thanks to rare appearances by northerners.
Jim Breaks hadn't been to Hastings for about ten years, and this was Count Bartelli's first appearance. A truly great bill indeed, with excellent match-making, and look who snuck in to referee!

Only the elusive Iron Man blots the copybook in this offering, but the main catch on the night may well have been the Cypriot champion. Look out here for the answer to an autograph question set last month:

A birthday bill, a second 002 programme in this set alone, and great balance and value for money on show. More Magyar magnificence, and the ever swirling Steve Viedor.
It is highly questionable whether the following week's bill had the same appeal ....

This winter venue in Hastings was a tough one for autographs with multiple exits. Fortunately the future World Champion was better at escaping from full nelsons than the White Rock Pavilion, and he was duly cornered to sign.
