Here's a further selection from the Covermen of Wrestling.  The photos used were the cover pages of The Wrestler magazine which folded in October 1972.


The high colour content makes this a slow page to load, so please be patient.

The final edition of The Wrestler had Steve Logan gracing the cover.

 

Mick McManus was the first portrait in The Covermen of Wrestling.  Fair play to Mick, every one of the many autographs of his that we possess was signed carefully, we have never even seen a lazy hurried scribble, and this is no exception:

 

Masambula looks at his wiriest in this picture, from the carefree days before we had to say The Gambia for risk of somehow offending:

 

Peter Rann's famously blue hair didn't really shine through in this colour shot, but maybe the grey was to match the miserable look:
