I don't want to embarrass Bernard, or hijack another topic (because Bernard would get narked). But.... We know you did some wrestling at St Luke's, that you were planned to wrestle Dicky Swales one night.... I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know. Did you have aspirations to turn pro? If so what were the barriers? (If it was wine, women and songs forget the songs. Just tell us about the wine and the women).

Hack, Yes I did have at one time until I found out that the starting wages at that time was £ 2 per week. (I was only 20 then )

Also certain professional wrestlers wanted money for an introduction.
